Full Spectrum Infrared Sauna
Our Sunlighten infrared sauna is a powerful place to relax and allow your body to heal.
Infrared heat is part of the sun's invisible spectrum of light that causes you to feel warm when you are sunbathing. Unlike sunbathing however, relaxing in an infrared sauna will never burn your skin, so you can be exposed to infrared heat for hours without burning.
Benefits of Full-Spectrum Infrared Sauna Therapy
Cardiovascular (increase heart rate, cardiac output, metabolic rate)
Detoxification (help relieve symptoms and enhance overall health)
Pain Relief (heat mediates the transmission of pain signals while relaxing muscular tension)
Relaxation (deep penetrating warmth relaxes body and mind)
Weight Loss (burn 250-600 calories in a 30 minute session!)
Skin Health/Anti-Aging (infrared heat easily penetrates surface tissues to give a beautiful, healthy glow and assist with common skin concerns)
Detoxification
The world we live in is highly toxic, even for those who eat carefully, use natural personal and home care products and strive to reduce the amount of chemical stressors they are exposed to. Did you know that the skin is designed to be our largest organ of elimination of waste and toxins? In a full-spectrum infrared sauna tests have shown 20% toxins in the sweat released vs. 3% during vigorous exercise or a traditional steam sauna. What a soothing way to deep clean your body for optimal wellness!
Can young adults/ children use it?
Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and may need to enjoy shorter sessions.
Is it Safe?
While infrared heat is safe for most people, we do require that clients consult their health care provider if they have a medical condition or are on medications that impact temperature regulation. Do not use the sauna during pregnancy due to the potential increase in core body temperature. Elders and those more sensitive to heat and may need to enjoy shorter sessions.
Because our sauna is fitted together and reinforced with magnets rather than using toxic glues or plastics, please consult your physician if you have a pacemaker.
It is not safe to use the sauna while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Please prepare for your sauna with excellent hydration (drink a large glass of water before your session and follow your session with two additional glasses.)
